GOYA's mandate is threefold
  1. to foster the continued development of community-based theatre in the City of Ottawa;
  2. to showcase, as part of our season, new Canadian works; and
  3. to nurture the development of young artists by involving them in mainstage productions, writing workshops, and stage craft.

It is this third objective that explains the name GOYA which is an acronym for
Giving Opportunities to Young Artists

GOYA Theatre Productions Inc. was established in 2001 as a not-for-profit organization under the Companies Act of Ontario (Registration # 1472064) and became a federally registered charity in 2003 (Registration # 87439 3614 RR001).

Membership Policy
All cast members (adults and children) are to pay membership fees when participating in a Goya production. The membership is good for one year from the time of joining. The membership will be $25/year and a family membership for 2 members or more will be $40/year. This fee was approved by the Goya Board of Directors and is consistent with membership policies of other Ottawa community theatre groups.
